1. Best View:
This site is best viewed at a screen size of 800 by 600 pixels,
using version 4 or higher of Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator.

2. Step one:
Step one is to select an issue from the home page under the
heading "Current Content List".


3. Step two:
Step two is to select an article from the Table of Contents
for which you would like to view or send correspondence.


4. Step three:
Step three is to view or send correspondence related to the
issue and article that you have selected in step one and step two.
From this page you are able to view the correspondence that has
been generated for the particular article, view the abstract of
the article, depending on availability, Send Correspondence and
Email the page to a colleague.


5. Send Correspondence:
You will need to complete the online correspondence form with the
relevant information prior to sending the form. All fields marked
with an * are mandatory and must be completed otherwise the form
will not be sent. Please do not make the correspondence too lengthy
as we will only publish 350 words maximum. When you have
completed the form click the "submit" button at the bottom
of the form and the form will be sent to the Correspondence Editor.
You will now receive an acknowledgement page advising you of such.
Each piece of correspondence is screened by the Correspondence Editor
and we will post all but the irrelevant or incomprehensible on the
web site. The "best" letters will then be chosen for later
publication in the Journal.

6. Email this page to a colleague:
You will need to complete the online form with the relevant information
prior to sending the form. All fields marked with an * are mandatory
and must be completed otherwise the form will not be sent. When
you have completed the form click the "Send" button at
the bottom of the form. You will now receive an acknowledgement
page advising you of such and email will be sent to your colleague.
Your colleague will be able to view the correspondence page by
clicking on the relevant link within the email. If the link is not
active, he/she will be able to cut and paste the URL into his/her
browser.

7. Archived Correspondence:
You are able to view the archived correspondence section of
the site by using the top navigation from anywhere within the site.
To view archived correspondence you need to follow the same 3 steps
listed above.

You are now able to view correspondence that has been generated
for the relevant article. When an issue is moved from the current
content list to the Archived Correspondence list, no more online
correspondence can be generated on the issue.


8. Right-hand navigation
The right-hand navigation is consistent on every page. You are able
to view the online content for the journal Anaesthesia by
clicking on the Anaesthesia Online Logo which appears in the right-hand
navigation.
You are able to view the web site of the Association of Anaesthetists
of Great Britain and Ireland by clicking on the logo which appears
in the right-hand navigation.
You are able to view the web site for Blackwell Publishing, the
publishers of the journal Anaesthesia, by clicking on the
Blackwell Publishing logo which appears in the right-hand navigation.
